The following work was made for a Professional Writing in Global Contexts course I took at the University of Pittsburgh.

In the class, we were tasked with choosing an organization that we would pretend to work for and a country to study for the semester. We acted as if we worked for the organization and created these documents for that organization and in relation to our country of choice. The country could not be a native English-speaking country, so I chose Spain.

International Country Business Report
This was the final project that I created for the Global Context Class. I pretend to work for the NHL presenting a detailed business report on Spain and details for an event the NHL would host in Spain. The report gives great detail about Spain's history, geography, culture, and business etiquette. At the end it gives examples of International English that would be presented to an audience that speaks English as a second, third, or fourth language.

International Business Letter & Memo
This is a rewrite of a letter to an international audience. We were given the original letter and tasked to rewrite the letter to fit the style and format of International English. There is also a memo sent to my professor explaining the changes that were made and the reasoning behind them.

English As A Global Language Business Report
This is a fictional business report presented to the Director of International Relations at the NHL. The business report gives a detailed analysis of the English language and its current use all over the world. The aim of the report is to come to a conclusion on whether or not English will become a global language in the near future and what effects that might have on the organization.

International English Memo
This was a memo to my professor detailing all of the issues an article she provided would have if a international audience read it. The task was to point out all of the issues that an audience that speaks English as a second, third, or fourth language would have when reading a standard news article.
